Getting Started — FamilyVault

Download and run the installer
Download the zip, extract it, and double-click the Setup.exe to install. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning — click "More info" then "Run anyway". This is normal for new software.

Activate your licence
Open FamilyVault, go to Settings and enter your licence key. You'll need an internet connection for this step only. Your key arrives by email immediately after purchase.

Point it at your photos
Go to the Import tab and select your folder. FamilyVault will scan and index everything — this may take a few minutes for large collections.

Enrol your family
Go to the Enrol tab, add a family member's name, and select a few clear photos of their face. FamilyVault will learn to recognise them across your entire collection.

Start searching
Use the Search tab to find anyone by name. Review uncertain tags in the Review tab. Your memories, organised — privately, on your own PC.
